What’s important to you, is that the menorah
have its seven branches; what’s important to me,
is breath, earth, and fire.
What’s important to you, is that I cover my head;
what’s important to me, is that we all pray.
What’s important to you, is that I marry Jewish;
what’s important to me, is that you listen.
What’s important to you, are these
disembodied, desiccated social customs;
what’s important to me, is the Godhead within.
No wonder, we hardly get along.
